Bucket holds strong symbolism for the Basin

letter to the editor by Jim Ottoman, Klamath Falls 9/21/14.

By not returning the Bucket to its original place at the Klamath County Government Center is demeaning to the memory of thousands of individuals who lined Main Street in single file to pass buckets of water from Lake Ewauna to the A Canal by Klamath Union High School.

The World Trade   Center tragedy had a patriotic and unifying effect on our country, but it substantially cooled the efforts of the Bucket Brigade to bring attention of the water problems of the Klamath Basin.

Please return this unique and meaningful symbol to its original place at the Klamath County Government Center.
