(Chiloquin) Dam vote tallied, but results not out Pete Bourdet, a district
member and negotiator with the federal government,
said the district's board needs to ratify the vote
before it can be made public. The board meets
Tuesday night. Removal of the 91-year-old
concrete dam on the Sprague River near Chiloquin has
passed through federal hurdles and has the support
of legislators, environmental groups and the Klamath
Tribes. But it is owned by the irrigation district,
and its patrons have the final say in the dam's
fate. |
