Upholding rural Americans' rights to grow food,
own property, and caretake our wildlife and natural resources.
http://pioneer.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/heraldandnews/default.aspx Freedom and liberty are being attacked Herald and News letter to editor by Bob King, Klamath Falls 4/30/13 Dear freedom and liberty loving Americans: We had better wake up others to what is happening at this time. Freedom and liberty are being attacked from all sides. We need to stand for our constitutional rights. Recently, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The State of Purpose from the bill read: “To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.” This treaty would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo. Astonishingly, 46 of our U.S. senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power. Among them were Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.). I believe if they want to give our Constitutional right away, they are no longer doing their jobs. Therefore, we don’t need them on our payroll. Please read for yourself at http://1.usa.gov/13GFogI, and consider this before voting for our next senators and other representatives.
