Mining Seminar Coming April 7th
All you ever wanted to know about gold recovery.
You don’t want to miss this one. Noted Head
Metallurgist for Newmont Mining, and long time
EOMA member Doctor Thom Seal and Sean Armstrong
along with other mining professionals will be
putting on a Mining Seminar Saturday the April 7th
following the Friday evening EOMA meeting.
So be sure to take this one in at the April 7th
the day after the Friday meeting of the EOMA.
Some of the topics Dr. Thom Seal and the other
speakers plan to cover are Separation,
(Gravity, Jig, Table, Screw,
Exploration Of a Deposit,
Development, Liberation, Size Reduction,
Classification,
Bowl, Spiral, Box, Flotation, Magnetic and
Settling). Just to name a few of
the topics they will be discussing using power
point presentation, to give you a next to hands
on classroom instruction.
And that is just a start. As we get closer to
the April meeting we will send out a
complete itinerary of the seminar being
put on by Dr. Thom Seal. So mark this on
your calendar as a must attend. For those of you
coming over for the EOMA meeting plan to stay
that night and come the Mining Seminar the
following day.
EOMA members will get in for $25, non members
will have to pay $50, Agency people will pay
$100. All proceeds will go to the EOMA Legal
Fund. For those of you that are staying over
night the Oregon Trail Motel will give EOMA
members and guests a discount. The EOMA will
furnish coffee and doughnuts, and we will break
an hour for lunch at your place of choice.
The Mining Seminar will take place at the Baker
School District Office at 2090 4th
Street, here in Baker City. For those of you
that are out of town it is located at 4th
and Broadway St.
You do not want to miss this one.
All money raised will go to the EOMA legal
fund to help in the on going effort to defend
miners
