Our Klamath Basin
Water Crisis
Upholding rural Americans' rights to grow food,
own property, and caretake our wildlife and natural resources.
Get it out in the open 12/3/02 I think Bill Bettenberg should meet with the public. Why should the meetings be so secret when this issue of the Klamath Tribes taking the United States forest involves not only irregators, but all property owners and citizens of our United States. A lot of people have no idea what we stand to lose if the Tribes take our forests. Look at some of the recreation we all take for granted: fishing, hunting, horse-riding, camping, wood-cutting, mushroom gathering, hiking, boating - even cutting the family Christmas tree. There are people who say there's no way that could happen - this is the United States. But I am afraid it could happen. And I say "no" to the idea of trading our land for water.
