Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Proposed Excess Capacity Contracts for Conveyance of Non-Klamath Project Water

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the draft environmental compliance documents for the proposed issuance of three temporary Excess Capacity contracts to Klamath Irrigation District, Langell Valley Irrigation District and Tulelake Irrigation District.

The Excess Capacity contracts would allow for temporary conveyance of non-Klamath Project water through Reclamation facilities, subject to available capacity, from June 1, 2015, through Nov. 15, 2015, and from April 1, 2016, through Nov. 15, 2019, for the three districts.

The Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=21661 and were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.
