4/7/2020 The Executive Director of the California State Water Resources Control Board issued a water quality certification for the Lower Klamath Project License Surrender and certified the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Lower Klamath Project License Surrender

On
April 7, 2020,
the Executive Director of the State Water Resources Control
Board (State Water Board) issued a water quality
certification for the Lower Klamath Project License
Surrender (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Project No.
14803). The Executive Director also certified the Final
Environmental Impact Report for the Lower Klamath Project
License Surrender (Final EIR).
The Lower Klamath Project License Surrender is located on
the Klamath River in Klamath County, Oregon and Siskiyou
County, California. The project involves the removal for
four dams (J.C. Boyle, Copco No. 1, Copco No. 2, and Iron
Gate) and associated facilities.
The water quality certification and additional information,
including the Final EIR and frequently asked questions, are
